Are you ready to rise?
In our modern day experience of war (of a virus on a human race), we are experiencing the normal wave of emotions.
What does this mean?
What is next?
How long will it take the economy to recover?
Will I lose money?
Should we have sold our house last year?
Should I look for a job?
The uncertainty breeds doubt and fear and everything else that comes packed up in that suitcase of emotions.
But as business owners, boss ladies, entrepreneurs (whatever we call ourselves these days), this is a call.
A challenge really.
A test.
The litmus test to balance out the scales. Many people have quit full time jobs to start full time businesses, but some of these businesses are a house of cards. Built on nothing more than smoke and mirrors.
Many people have promised a lot and delivered a little.
The business pond has become oversaturated with mediocre fish who were just hungry for the bait (aka money).
People who promise coaching on getting healthy and they do nothing more than send you articles and videos of other people talking about health.
People who promise beauty when you buy their makeup.
People who promise to help you with your business, only to regurgitate material on the internet.
We don’t need more of this.
We don’t need more bloggers selling us fast fashion. We don’t need more YouTubers showing us around their house and how they XYZ.
We don’t need more shallow.
The waters of the world have now become deep and we will see who swims and who gets out of the pool. To stay afloat, work is required. So is results. No more easy money. And it is about time.
But for those of us who live our passion. Who wake up when we are trying to go to sleep to capture that thought for a teaching moment, a post, for later next week. Who study and study on how to deliver value in a modern day world. Who get lost in words and in conversation when someone asks about your ministry.
Those of us who are walking our ministry, this is our challenge.
This is our call.
Will you retreat with the suitcase of emotions?
Or will you rise?
What we need today are leaders.
Leaders who care.
Leaders who are ready to serve regardless if they are getting paid.
There is a gift within the challenge and that is the gift of rest. But the equal measure is realignment.
Readjust your sails, get ready to catch the wind because dear one, it is coming.
And when it does, I want you to be ready.
