Letting Go Just Plain Sucks
We all want this
The common denominator in all of us is this:
SIMPLIFICATION
We all want it. I want it. You want it. Your grandmother wanted it.
We want it in our homes. We want it in our budgets. We want it in our calendars.
The requirement for simplification is one thing: we must learn to let go.
Of the stuff that suffocates.
Of the home equity lines of credit, the credit cards, and the car payments.
Of the calendar clutter.
But if the answer is so simple, Jennifer, then why doesn't it just happen in my life with ease?
Because letting go sucks.
When we hear the phrase, "just let go", we also hear, "we must sacrifice" and equate it to a lack luster lifestyle.
On top of that, no one taught us HOW to let go. We may have been taught how to share, but when it comes to discernment over what do I keep and what do I let go.... yea that wasn't taught at home or at school.
But that layer underneath the task of "just let go", the one that we don't want to address or look at, that is the culprit to our busy-ness, to our debt, and to our modern day hoards.
When you come home, how does it feel?
Relieved? or Overwhelmed?
