How To Sell Your Unwanted Items on Facebook Marketplace

I remember sitting in my tiny apartment looking around at all the stuff I had managed to accumulate and feeling a little wasteful and overrun.

Stuff I had bought on sale .. a beach tote for $4, too good to pass up!

Stuff I had bought at full price .. surely this $40 eyeshadow set will make me more beautiful.

Stuff that I was gifted for holidays and birthdays.

But now my tiny apartment was full and I was feeling the urge to purge.

Some things were easy, like the gardenia scented candles that I hated. Others were harder because of the price I had paid.

After I dropped a load off at my local Goodwill station, I came home and opened an account on eBay. I photographed and sold a few things here and there and greatly appreciated the income. Then I turned to Craigslist and began to sell larger items that I couldn’t ship like my microwave, my food processor, a painting I had bought of an elephant but was clearly NOT my style.

Little by little I was able to unclutter my home and make a little money in the process. The money in did not outweigh the money out, but packed in there is a lesson somewhere. Or so I suppose.

If you are feeling the urge to purge but struggling to “just donate it”, then try your hand at selling the items on Facebook Marketplace.

My free guide walks you through what I’ve learned over the past 15 years. You can use the tips to sell on Craigslist, OfferUp, and whatever site you prefer. Just know that my preference is Facebook as you can preview the potential buyer before making the sell.
