August Thrift Store Haul

Fall and spring are my favorite times to go to a thrift store. I’m always in the mood to switch things up and I love how non-committal a $5 dress can be.

In prep for you, I stopped by two thrift stores last week hoping to find a few pieces that would transition well.

I use Google Keep to keep me focused and on track so I don’t veer too far off center with a Easter appropriate dress at the end of summer. ;)

Google Keep is similar to the Notes app; I prefer Google as I can pull up my notes on Desktop and on phone.

What I’m Looking For Right Now

  • Fall florals (I prefer large floral patterns over smaller/tighter patterns)

  • Fall colors

    • Olive or Army Green

    • Dark Green

    • Black

    • Burgundy

    • Leopard Print

  • Fall pieces

    • Sweaters

    • Button ups

    • Blazers

    • Ankle length pants

    • Black long sleeve top

    • Fitness tops (for cooler days)

I browse Pinterest for ideas and inspiration before I go so I have a visual handy when looking at a sea of clothes because it is easy to get overwhelmed.

I’m also noticing that there are certain styles I like and certain styles that I don’t.

For example, I love a squareneck, crew neck, or halter.

But not loving V Necks, round necks, or boat necks these days.

What I Found

What I Found But Didn’t Photograph

I did find two sweatshirts (my fave!) as I wear them around the house, a blazer (I cannot believe I forgot to style it!), a long sleeve workout top that looks just like lululemon, and a simple black belt as I don’t have one.

Where I Shop

I love shopping at the Salvation Army Family Store; be sure to check out their 50% clearance sales on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Goodwill in Hickory; their dressing rooms are open! :)

Do you have any plans to shop at the thrift store this season? Tell me what you are looking for!
