Our Wedding: Photos & Details
Our wedding was special and magical as I imagine the majority of all weddings are. :)
I remember much about the ceremony and the day, and I also remember how tired I was by mid-afternoon.
WEDDING DETAILS
Our ceremony was held at Flint Groves Baptist Church at 11a. I am so thankful we opted for a morning service.
What made it special: Raymondβs parents were married in that church & his great grandparents name is under a stained glass window as you exit the sanctuary.
I wore my motherβs wedding dress which we did very little to alter. I kept the accessories simple with diamond studs gifted to me from Raymond; he had his grandmothers diamond ring converted to earrings.
I wore a blue stone ring from my grandfathers jewelry store as my something blue.
I went with shoes I already owned as I figured you wouldnβt see them anyways. ;)
The veil was thrifted from an estate sale in Gastonia. I found it while shopping with my parents one random Friday.
My engagement ring was also his grandmotherβs engagement ring; Raymond now wears his grandfatherβs wedding band. I love that the pair is back together again.
Originally we had planned on Raymondβs dad officiating the ceremony but God had other plans; we made sure to pay respect to him with his Bible and a memorial photo.
My bouquet was from Gaston Floral and what I thought would be a blue/white bouquet turned into more of a purple/white option. It really popped and I love what they did with it.
Raymond looked handsome in his tuxedo. βMr. Best Dressedβ never disappoints. ;)
Our photographer was my friend, the talented Chelsea Bren.
Instead of a plated dinner, we went with a buffet of all our favorite foods at the local country club. The cake was vegan and crafted by their dessert chef, Gerald!
While it wasnβt traditional in nature, it was extremely meaningful to us both. Just how it should be.
