Halloween Costumes (a roundup)
My (future) sister-in-law is the queen of Halloween. Her house is perfectly decked out for fall (not too spooky) and they always dress up as a family for trick-or-treating. It just melts my heart! She is also a teacher and perfectly poised for such a career.
The fun of Halloween seems to come in waves.
When you are little kid, it is the best! All that candy and pumpkin carving and coloring contests at school! Yippee!
When you are a teenager, early adult, Halloween is one big, fat party. Holding hands with boys on the haunted trails, dressing like a hoochie mama at the nightclubs. It is an era of life that I am happy not to relive but it was a fun holiday all the same.
Then when you “grow older”, Halloween sort of slips by unnoticed. No more parties. No more haunted trails (what were we thinking?!). That is unless you have kids. The fun starts all over (I guess) when you have littles of your own.
This year however (!) we are going to our first Halloween ball and I am so excited to dress up! In my search of costume ideas, I thought it would be helpful for you if I put together a roundup. I also love Stephanie Hanna’s post which is full of unique ideas!
(Family) Circus or Greatest Showman
(Family) Alice In Wonderland
(Family) Back to the Future

As for Raymond, he is not a planner so he is on his own! The last time we dressed up we decided to go as Fergie & her (then) husband Josh Duhamel. If Raymond had a dollar for every time someone told him he looked like “Fergie’s Husband” … well he would have roughly $100. :)
Tell me what your favorite costume is below - is it spooky or is it funny?
